Idukki man, daughter set to take part in R-Day parade

Kulamavu: This father-daughter duo from Kulamavu is all set to make the R-Day parade a family affair. Dr Sajeev K Vavachan, NCC Officer of Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kulamavu and his daughter, Evelyn Mary Joseph, a 9th standard student at the same school, will attend the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi on January 26.

Both the father and daughter are participating in the Republic Day Parade for the first time. Evelyn got selected as a winner of gold medal in the group and inter group competitions. Seven junior girls were selected from Kerala to attend the Republic Day Parade.

Evelyn, who has acted in short films and tele serials, is also acting in a movie titled ‘Uyare.’ Dr Sajeev has been leading the All India Trekking Camp, which is being conducted at Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kulamavu, for the past eight years.
