Soon, SSLC certificates will be available in digital format

Thiruvananthapuram: Digitalisation is spreading to various spheres. The digital revolution has been making its impact in classrooms for over a while. Kerala has been in the forefront of employing information technology (IT) both in the public education and public administration sectors. From July 15 this year, SSLC certificates of students who sit for Class 10 exams will be available on DigiLocker and they can be used as original certificates.

DigiLocker is an online way of storing all important certificates as e-documents. CBSE certificates are already available on DigiLocker, while those of the Board of Public Examination which conducts the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) examination makes its debut this year.

Last year’s SSLC certificates of the Board of Public Examination of Kerala are already available on DigiLocker.

How to start DigiLocker account

DigiLocker is a "digital locker" service of the national government. A DigiLocker account can be opened using mobile and Aadhaar numbers on the site digilocker.gov.in.

To open an account, go to ‘sign in’ and enter mobile number. The one-time password sent to this number has to be used to enter a username and password. Link Aadhaar number subsequently.

SSLC certificate

Sign in to DigiLocker and click ‘get more now’. Go to ‘education’ section, then ‘Board of Public Examination’ and choose ‘Kerala’. Select ‘class 10 school leaving certificate’ and following instructions to get SSLC certificate.
