Train services resumed in Kerala on Monday. The Railways will operate eight trains through Kerala on the first day.

Two more trains will be added to the list on Tuesday, while two other services will begin on June 6 and June 9, taking the total number of trains to 12. This includes eight inter-state trains and four intra-state trains.

The Railways has decided to operate 200 special passenger trains in different parts of the country starting from June 1.

Passengers have to adhere to the guidelines to check the spread of Covid-19, said Railways in a statement.

Here is the list of inter-state trains:

•Thiruvananthapuram to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai and return

•Ernakulam to Nizamuddin in New Delhi Mangala Express and return

•Ernakulam to Nizamuddin Duronto Express and return (This train will begin service from June 6. The return train will ply from June 9).

•Trichy to Nagercoil Express and return

•Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur Jan Shatabdi Express and return (The return train from Kannur will begin service from June 2).

Passenger guidelines

All passengers should follow these guidelines, informed Railways in a press release.

•. Only those with confirmed tickets will be allowed to enter the station and board the train.

• Only asymptomatic persons will be allowed to travel.

• Wear face cover / mask throughout the journey.

• Reach the railway station at least 90 minutes before the train departure.

• Follow social distancing at railway stations and trains.

• Follow all safety protocols prescribed by the authorities and health personnel.

• Install Aarogya Setu app in mobile phones.

• Carry hand sanitizers and masks. Hands must be sanitized or washed frequently; unnecessary touching of objects like door handles must be avoided.

• Do not move around the coaches unnecessarily. Do not spit in vestibule areas and from doors, windows.

• Do not litter coaches

• Do not travel standing near the doors.

• Keep toilets clean after use

• Observe social distancing inside trains.

No platform tickets & linen

•The Railways will not issue platform tickets at the station and no linen will be supplied during the journey

Train timings

• Train No. 06346 Thiruvananthapuram Central–Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Special (Daily) – Departure from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 09.30; arrival at Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak at 17.45 next day.

• Train No. 06345 Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak –Thiruvananthapuram Central Special (Daily) – Departure from Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak at 11.40 hrs; arrival at Thiruvananthapuram at 18.25 hrs next day.

• Train No. 02617 Ernakulam – Nizamuddin Superfast Special (Daily) - Departure from Ernakulam Junction at 13.15 hrs; arrival Nizamuddin at 13.15 hrs the third day.

•Train No. 02618 Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Junction Superfast Special (Daily) – Departure from Nizamuddin at 09.15 hrs; arrival at Ernakulam Junction at 12.15 hrs the third day.

• Train No. 02284 Nizamuddin–Ernakulam Junction Weekly Duronto Special – Departure Nizamuddin at 21.15 hrs on Saturdays; arrival at Ernakulam Junction at 16.10 hrs on third day (This train will begin service from June 6).

• Train No. 02283 Ernakulam Junction–Nizamuddin Weekly Duronto Special - Departure from Ernakulam Junction at 23.25 hrs on Tuesdays; arrival at Nizamuddin at 19.40 hrs the third day (This will begin service from June 9).

• Train No. 02082 Thiruvananthapuram–Kannur Janshatabdi Special - Departure from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 14.45 hrs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays; arrival at Kannur 00.20 hrs on the next day (5 days a week except Tuesdays and Saturdays).

• Train No. 02081 Kannur–Thiruvananthapuram Janshatabdi Special – Departure from Kannur at 04.50 hrs; arrival at Thiruvananthpuram Central at 14.25 hrs, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (5 days a week except Wednesdays and Sundays). (This train will begin service from June 2).

•Train No. 02076 Thiruvananthapuram–Kozhikkode Janshatabdi Special - Departure from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 05.55 hrs; arrival at Kozhikode at 13.15 hrs daily.

• Train No.02075 Kozhikkode–Thiruvananthapuram Central Janshatabdi Special - Departure from Kozhikkode at 13.45 hrs; arrival at Thiruvananthapuram Central at 21.35 hrs.

Stop restrictions

• The Railways has decided to restrict the number of stops for two long–distance trains to Mumbai and New Delhi.

• The Netravati Express that runs between Thiruvananthapuram and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai (Train numbers: 06345 & 06346) will not stop at Cheruvattur station in Kasaragod district.

• The Mangala–Lakshadweep Express that runs between Ernakulam and Nizamuddin in New Delhi (Train numbers: 02617 & 02618) will not stop at Aluva, Pattambi, Kuttippuram, Tirur, Parappanangadi, Feroke, Koyilandi, Vadakara, Thalassery, Payangadi, Payyanur, Nileswar and Kanhangad stations.
