What, why and how: get rid off the white head menace

Ever wondered what those tiny pimple-like bumps on your face are? They are closed comedones, or white heads as they are commonly called. White heads are nothing but dead cells, bacteria, oil and dirt trapped inside the pores of your face.

Resorting to CTM( Cleansing, toning, moisturizing) may not always help you escape from this little big menace.

Here are some quick remedies you can try to safely get away with white heads.

» Get rid of greasy hair

Always remember to cleanse your hair with a mild herbal shampoo. Washing your hair twice or thrice a week would be ideal, as often over washing will lead to excess oil production from hair follicles, in turn resulting in oil build up on face.

» Get expert hands

In case you have excess white heads, try getting the help of an expert to remove them using comedone cleaning tools.

» Try Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid, similar to peroxide can kill bacteria on your face. It also slows down the process of shedding down old skin, that blocks pores around your nose and chin.

» Sugar and honey scrub

Mix a little sugar with honey and scrub over the areas on your face affected with white heads. Gently massage in circular motions to scrub away dead cells, and bring out the shiny skin from beneath.

» Aloe vera magic

Use a good quality aloe vera gel from an oragnic brand, or scrape fresh aloe vera gel from the plant. Apply this thick pulp on the affected areas and let it stay for 15 minutes. Wash off with cool water.

» Oats-milk pack

Mix oatmeal and milk to form a smooth paste. Apply the pack on your skin and cleanse well. Repeat twice a week for desired results

» Use fuller earth

Mix fuller earth with a natural toner like rosewater. Apply on the affected areas and wash off before the pack dries up excessively on a regular basis.
