After a busy week of juggling work and home, the weekends are time to relax and pamper yourself. Onmanorama tells you how to take care of your hair.

» Choose an oil that suits your  hair type. You can opt for coconut oil, almond oil, or even olive oil 

» Heat up the oil or the mixture of oil with a few drops of essential oils if you love a little fragrance on your strands.

Note: Heat the oil gently and remove from the fire before it fumes. You can also place the oil in a bowl of hot water to gently warm it.

» Part you hair into tiny sections with a rat-tail comb(with tapering ends). Scrape of any dead cells or dandruff if you have them with a comb or a hard brush.

» Part your hair into tiny sections. Dip a cotton ball in oil and apply it on the scalp.

»Massage your scalp gently in small circular motions.

»After massaging your scalp, take small strands of hair and apply oil along the full length of your hair.

» Steam your hair for better results. Wrap your hair with a towel dipped in hot water for the steaming effect.

» Wash your hair clean with a good quality shampoo. You can use an egg and lemon shampoo if you have dandruff problems.

» Coconut oil is an excellent hair conditioner. It possesses best moisture-retaining capacity.

Normal hair: Lavender, Rosemary, Lemon or Thyme essential oil.

Oily hair: Lavender, Rosemary, Lemon essential oil.

Dry Hair: Sandalwood, Lavender, Rosemary, or Geranium oil.
