Kochi: The very first show of Kerala Fashion League 2016 season- 4 amused the massive crowd with its sheer star studded extravagance.
Dedicating the show to the eternal love story of Moideen and Kanchanamala, designer Aanu Nobby presented the best of her collection 'Kismath' here on Wednesday. Although Kanchanamala was invited for the event, she could not make it due to bad health conditions.
Aanu, who has been the costume designer for Mazhavil Manorama's popular dance reality show D4 Dance is now planning to open a boutique in Kochi soon. A finance personal, Aanu discovered her talent in designing just two years back. This turned out to be the spark for 'Kismath'. After juggling her profession with passion for quite long, she finally quit her corporate job to pursue a career in designing.
Having made her presence felt in KFL platforms, on Abhil Dev, the founder of KFL, she said, "He is a young entrepreneur who has done a lot to propagate the concept of fashion as something for everyone. There is this mindset that fashion is for the elite but KFL proves that fashion can be enmeshed with a cause.”
Star couples like Priya Mani and her fiance Mustafa, Rahul Eswar along with his pregnant wife Deepa stunned the audience by appearing in exquisitely crafted royal outfits. Actors and celebrity models like Elizabeth Thadikaran, Iniya, Priya Lal, Sanjana Galrani and child actor Meenakshi also walked down the ramp.
Sharing her delight over her first ramp walk for KFL, actress Priya Mani said, “It is the first time I am walking for KFL and that too with my own Moideen —Mustafa. When I asked if he could walk the ramp, he readily agreed. In fact, I was nervous on stage but he was confident enough,” she said.
