The living area of this chic, cosy flat exudes an elegant charm.

Flat dwellers often complain that they do not have the luxury of space and that there is absolutely no option for them to add extensions to their abode. However, this stylish flat in Ernakulam is the perfect example of how space constraints are overcome through smart designing. Each and every space in this flat has been designed to suit the likes and preferences of the family members. Living and dining areas, balcony, kitchen with a work area and three bath-attached bedrooms are arranged in this beautiful flat that has an area of 1420 sq ft.

Living area

The living area is cosy and exudes an elegant charm which makes the guests comfortable as soon as they enter the flat. There is a custom made L-shaped couch, a TV unit, a stylish coffee table, pooja space and a curio shelf in this area. The shelf has been designed, making sure that there is ample space for storage. A simple yet elegant ceiling is the perfect addition here. The wall behind the couch has been highlighted using wall paper in metal shade. Meanwhile, the counter top on the TV unit has been paved with nano white that adds an amazing sheen here. There is a noticeable CNC design work to cover the hollow space in front of the TV unit. The rooms of the pooja room too feature CNC cutting works. The custom-made furniture in the living area has a veneer PU white finish.

A partition with toughened glass, installed on an aluminium frame, is what separates the living area and the balcony. A sliding door too is included here. Tiles that have wooden texture are paved on the floor in the balcony which adds a special rustic charm to this space. A part of the balcony has natural stone claddings. A vertical book shelf has been arranged here as the family members love to relax with a book in the balcony. The pendant light is another eye catching feature that grants oodles of charm to this area.

Dining area

The dining area is designed in the contemporary style and has a stylish dining table where up to six guests can be comfortably accommodated. The glass table top and the classy chairs complete the luxurious look of the dining table. The wash area also acts as a crockery shelf. The show mirror here is a stunning piece that instantly draws attention. This extended crockery shelf has in built lighting and glass doors as well.

The fabric curtains in double layers and the natural wall claddings are some designer and décor features that make the dining area stand out. A dummy show wall in ‘L’ shape acts as a partition between the dining and the living areas.

Kitchen

The kitchen is designed in the classic combination of grey and white in PU finish. The back splash dons tiles in white hue while the counter top is paved with nano white. The profile lights installed below the overhead cabinets add more definition to the counter top. There is a partition wall which separates the kitchen and the work area. The glass doors and windows make sure that the kitchen is well lit with natural light. The washing machine and the sink are all arranged in the utility area. A breakfast table in veneer finish that can be folded and two wooden stools are arranged in the kitchen.

Bedrooms

The guest room has a cot with headboard, side table, in – built wardrobe and study area as well. The furniture is made in veneer and PU white finish. A wall here is highlighted using attractive wall paper. A folding study table has been arranged here to make it more space efficient. A simple false ceiling is installed to regulate the lighting in this room.

Two cots in PU white finish are arranged in the kids’ room. Storage has been given prime importance here. Folding tables are used in the study area in this room as well. The wall paper, that features some interesting geometric patterns, is quite eye catching.

The master bedroom has a cot with headboard, a side table and in – built wardrobe. The furniture here is done in veneer with PU grey finish. One side of the wardrobe is attached to a workstation unit. An open book shelf and a pull - out dressing mirror are some of smart features of the master bedroom. This flat dons simple and elegant ceiling which adds a mesmerizing charm to the interiors. Besides, the walls don cooler shades of hues that are soothing to the eyes and make the spaces look incredibly charming.
