GI truss roof paved with clay tiles has been installed on the flat roof.

Abi and his wife Dayana, both natives of Chirakadavu in Kottayam, Kerala, had chosen a plot inside their rubber plantation to build their dream dwelling. The plot which is a few meters away from the road ensures privacy. Besides, it is surrounded by trees that make the atmosphere extremely cool and pleasant. The couple wanted an elegant and space efficient single storied house that has all the modern amenities. Noted architect Sreekanth Pangapad, who is also a close friend of the family, had designed this enchanting abode.

GI truss roof paved with clay tiles has been installed on the flat roof. This prevents the hot air from entering the house, making the interiors cooler. Moreover, the space between the roof and the truss work could be easily turned into a spacious attic space. A utility stairway, built close to the kitchen, leads to this attic area.

Designed in 2100 sqft, this fabulous abode has a sit out, formal and family living areas, dining space, prayer area, kitchen with a work area and three bedrooms.

The long verandah and the sit out is the perfect spot from where you can enjoy calming beauty of the surrounding nature. Meanwhile, the interiors are designed in the open style. The living areas, dining space and the prayer area are all part of the spacious T shaped hall.

The bedrooms are bath attached. One cannot grab a view of these bedrooms from the living area.

Amazing space efficiency is what makes this elegant abode stand out. This also makes the interiors look and feel vaster. The guests too are impressed by the smartly designed spaces and unique features of this beautiful house.
