Feng Shui is all about channelling the energy around us. To make our lives better, here are a few simple tips that could increase the 'happiness quotient':

The Entrance

The front door is where we entice the 'good positive' energy into our homes. Energy, according to Feng Shui experts, follow the eye. So, place a happy picture, a flower arrangement or something beautiful and invite possibilities and opportunities into our homes. Also, ensure that the front door does not squeak.

De-clutter

Too much of clutter, according to Feng Shui, tends to invite or trap a lot of negative energy. So, get rid of trash. Do not keep broken or damaged items because of sentimental reasons.

A clean kitchen

According to Feng Shui, your kitchen is directly related to your ability to attract money. Keep the stove clean, the refrigerator organised and full of fresh food that you will use. Invest in shelves and keep the kitchen counter clutter free.

The placement

According to Feng Shui, it is ideal not to have mirrors which overlook the bed where you sleep in. Do not place the stove directly across the sink. Do not hang a wind-chime over your bed as it may have absorbed negative energy during the day.

Lucky charms

Flowing water and floating fish are very auspicious, so are some statues and potted greens. But then, placement is the key.
