Here are the revised norms for GATE 2021

entrance exam

GATE ( Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a qualifying exam for those interested in doing PG courses or PhD research in engineering, technology, architecture and science with financial aid from the central government.

This qualification will pave the way for research scholarships, fellowships and appointments in leading institutions in the public sector.

The government has revised the qualification for writing the GATE in 2021.

Those who have the requisite qualification in science, commerce and arts can also now write GATE.

Those who are already graduates, those who have completed 10 + 2 + 2 or 10 + 3 + 1 and are currently studying in the third year of any recognised undergraduate degree program will be considered for the exam.

The exam will be held on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 & 14 in 2021.

In GATE 2021, candidates can attempt two papers, not just one paper as has been the norm till now. However, the second paper should belong to the specified combinations. The details will be issued later.

The total number of papers has been increased to 27 with the addition of two papers, environmental engineering and humanities social sciences.
