SP Chaitra’s brother secures 156th rank, third person in family to crack Civil Services

Kozhikode: SP Chaitra Teresa John's brother Dr George Allen John has secured the 156th rank in the Civil Services Exam.

Dr George, an MS Orthopedic surgeon, is currently working at the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi. Dr George is likely to get the IPS, though it is not known which cadre he would be given.

Dr George is the third person from his family to crack the Civil Services exam. He is the son of former IRS official Dr John Joseph. A native of East Hill in Kozhikode, John had retired as the special secretary in the Union Finance Ministry.

Dr George had secured the first rank in the MS Orthopaedics exam of the Health University. He completed his MBBS from the Government Medical College in Kozhikode. He did his schooling at the Kendriya Vidyalaya at East Hill in Kozhikode.

His sister Chaitra had secured the 111th rank in the 2015 Civil Services exam. A Kerala cadre officer, she is currently the SP of the Anti-terrorist Squad.

Their mother Mary Abraham had retired as the joint director of the animal husbandry department.
