Andhra Pradesh: Eleven labourers died and several others sustained serious injuries in an explosion at a quarry in Kurnool district here.
The blast took place when gelatine sticks went off while the workers were loading a truck with stones.
According to reports, five bodies were recovered from the blast site.
Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu have instructed authorities to ensure proper medical attention to the injured while state IT minister and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh tweeted that the government is monitoring the situation.
