Chetan Bhagat apologises for wooing journo, screenshots of messages go viral

Chetan Bhagat

Renowned Indian writer Chetan Bhagat apologised over a series of tweets over allegations that he apparently tried to woo a journalist he knew only in a professional capacity. The tweet contained a couple of screenshots of Bhagat's conversation with the lady.

The author took to Facebook to apologise for the allegations made against him. He also apologised to his wife Anusha over the incident.

“Maybe I was going through a phase, maybe these things just happen, or maybe I felt the person felt the same too based on our conversations (which I don’t need to repeat here)”, Chetan said.

Bhagat's exposure comes as several Indian women, inspired by the global "Me Too movement" against sexual harassment, have been airing their experiences.
