Goyal announced that in the first phase 1.3 lakh employees will be recruited from February. He also announced that 10% or 13,000 jobs will go to the economically weaker sections. The announcement was literally music to the ears of BJP's vote bank in north India.

If he can bring electricity to 18,000 villages in a short span of time, his Budget just before the general elections could electrify the economy.
