Malayali girl dies after falling off building in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: A Keralite girl of Mayuri International School in Abu Dhabi died after falling from a building. The victim was 18-year-old Mariya Sara Saji. She was the daughter of Thiruvalla natives Medayil Saji Mathew and Shiji.

Mariya died after falling from the 13th floor of the Bohec building on Salam Street, Abu Dhabi. She along with five of her classmates were on a combined study at the flat, when the incident happened. One of them informed Shiji, who is the vice president of the IT department at First Abu Dhabi Bank. All those present at the flat during the incident are being questioned. Her body was removed to a hospital by the police.

Funeral will be held on a later date at Ernakulam Malankara Catholic Church. Mariya’s only brother is a rig engineer at a Sharjah oil company.
