Palakkad RSS activist's murder: Another SDPI leader arrested; two more accused at large

Palakkad: A third accused who was directly involved in the murder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist Sanjith last month has been arrested.

The police are yet to reveal the identity of the Kozhinjampara-native, who was nabbed from Cheruplassery.

However, Palakkad district police chief R Viswanadh told media persons here on Tuesday that he is a leader of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).

Sanjith, 27, was hacked to death by a group that rammed his bike before murdering him in front of his wife at Kinassery here.

So far, six persons are in custody in connection with the killing. Two others, who were directly involved in the murder, are yet to be arrested.
