Kochi: Actor Dileep, an accused in the sexual assault of a leading Malayalam female actor, has written to the state police chief against the investigating officer and the prosecution.

Earlier in the day, the female actor, who survived the ordeal in February 2017 had petitioned DGP Anil Kanth and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan asking them to not delay justice.

Dileep's letter also addressed to the Vigilance Director, has accused officer Baiju Poulose of conspiring against him. He has requested the top cop to examine the mobile phone of the officer for proof and to remove him from the investigation.

Recently, the prosecution had sought a further probe in the case based on fresh revelations made by a director, Balachandrakumar.

According to Dileep, Poulose was behind the controversial television interview that Balachandrakumar gave, which has brought the case under the limelight yet again.

Balachandrakumar had claimed that Dileep, who had denied knowing main accused, Pulsar Suni, was seen with the latter at his residence.
