Sara Joseph's Budhini bags Odakuzhal Award

Kochi: Noted Malayalam writer Sara Joseph's novel 'Budhini' has been chosen for the 51st Odakuzhal Award.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000, a plaque and a citation.

M Leelavathy will hand over the award to Sara Joseph on February 2 on the occasion of the 44th death anniversary of renowned poet G Sankara Kurup.

The Odakuzhal Award is instituted by the Guruvayurappan Trust that was founded by G Sankara Kurup.

The award was not given for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
