Malappuram: Locals have alleged foul play after a youth burnt to death at Othayi near Edavanna here on Wednesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Shaji, a hotel employee. It is alleged that Shaji was murdered during a property dispute.
The family members and locals have claimed that they saw neighbours set him ablaze around 7 pm.
The police are yet to confirm the murder angle and said further examination was needed to ascertain it.
The witnesses told Manorama News that a neighbour woman poured some liquid on him before her husband set him ablaze.
