Kozhikode: Another fatality linked to wild boars hitting vehicles on the road has been reported in Kerala.

A man died at Thondayad here on Thursday morning in a road accident as a result of a wild boar jumping across and crashing into a moving vehicle.

A tempo had veered off after hitting a wild boar and collided with a van that was going in the opposite direction.

The deceased, who was travelling in the van, was identified as Chelannur-native Siddique.

Two others -- Sanaf and Anoop -- sustained serious leg injuries and are admitted to the Medical College Hospital here.

The incident reportedly occurred around 5 am when a tempo headed toward Kannur hit a wild boar and crashed into a van that had four passengers, including Siddique.

The driver of the tempo sustained minor injuries. The four passengers in the van were going to Thrissur for work on solar panel installation.

Last September, a motorist in the Thrissur district was killed after a wild boar crashed into his bike.
