Kochi: The timely intervention of a constable of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at the Ernakulam South Railway Station on Monday saved the life of a passenger hailing from Kozhikode, who was found lying unconscious on the platform.

Sunil rushed to the spot when Ernad Express reached the station, He had received information that a person was found lying on the fourth platform. When asked by Sunil, Muhammed Ali said in a low voice that he was feeling heart pain. Soon, he fell unconscious.

Though cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was given, there were no facilities to bring him easily to the entrance of the railway station. Then Sunil took him in his arms and rushed to the main entrance of the railway station.
