Young man, woman found hanging at Thrissur hotel

Rijo, Sangeetha — The deceased, Rijo and Sangeetha, both aged 26.

Thrissur: The police have registered a case after a young man and woman were found hanging inside a hotel here on Thursday.

It is understood that the deceased, Rijo and Sangeetha, both 26, had consumed poison before hanging inside a hotel near the KSRTC Bus Stand in the wee hours.

Sangeetha's husband Sunil had lodged a missing person complaint the other day. Rijo was employed in Sunil's catering business and he was reportedly a long-time friend of Sangeetha.

The police were able to find them at the hotel by tracing Sangeetha's mobile phone tower location.

Sangeetha leaves three children. Rijo was unmarried.
