Thodupuzha: A shocking story of gruesome attack against a young woman has emerged on the International Women's Day from Kerala's Idukki district.
A 25-year-old woman was admitted to the Kottayam Medical College Hospital after her husband threw acid on her face.
The incident happened at Muttom in Idukki. The woman, identified as Sona, a native of Manjapra in Ernakulam district, suffered burns in the attack by her husband Rahul.
Rahul was later taken to custody by the police. The police said that Rahul splashed Sona with acid during a family dispute.
