Thrissur: A KSRTC bus rammed into a truck at Nandikkara in Thrissur, triggering a chain collision involving another truck and a motorcycle. The biker sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a private hospital in Thrissur.

The accident happened around 1.30 pm on Monday on the Mannuthy–Edappally National Highway. The incident took place after the KSRTC bus allegedly changed lanes negligently and hit the first truck. Following the impact, the truck lost control and crashed into the median, crossing over to the opposite carriageway, and colliding with another coming from the opposite direction.

In the chaos, a motorcycle rider was also hit and was seriously injured. The accident led to traffic congestion on the national highway for nearly two hours. Visuals of the accident, captured on the dash camera of a vehicle following behind, have emerged.
