ATM fraud: inter-state racket fooling SBI card holders | story in points

Following State Bank of India's decision to freeze six lakh debit cards, an inter-state gang is trying to fool card holders, Manorama News reported.

» The gang members call up card holders and ask for card number, CVV number and pin number.

» They mislead people that if not renewed the card will get blocked and then ask for card details.

» To convince the people, they will ask you to mail them a copy of your Aadhaar card.

» One of the phone numbers used for such calls was traced back to West Bengal.

» It is not clear how the gang members are getting phone numbers of card holders.
