Dubai: Seven people, including 6 Indians, died Tuesday when a mini-bus they were traveling in rammed into a parked truck on the Emirates Road connecting Dubai and Abu Dhabi near the Al Maktoum International Airport.

Among the two identified, one was a Keralite, Avin Kumar (29), a native of Piravom in Ernakulam, and the other was Hussain from north India. The police have not identified rest of the victims.

The mini-bus was carrying engineers and workers of a steel company in Dubai. There were 20 passengers in the bus and 13 are admitted to various hospitals with injuries — three of them are in critical condition.

The driver of the mini-bus lost control after colliding with a pick-up and rammed the bus into the back of truck that was parked by the road.

The mini-bus was completely destroyed in the accident.
