Kochi: Three years after the 'Kiss of Love' protest took birth at Marine Drive in Kochi, its organizers announced that they are relaunching the stir Thursday.
The decision came after a group of Shiv Sena activists attacked young couples at Marine Drive and chased them away from the area in an act of moral policing.

The Facebook page of 'Kiss of Love' announced that the protest would be held Thursday, at 4 pm at Marine Drive.
Meanwhile, SFI and DYFI activists have also decided to stage protest at 10 am at Marine Drive.
A Sena leader later said that they held a march through Marine Drive and sent the youngsters away after they got several complaints from parents that 'immoral activities' were going on there.
Police said six activists of the Shiv Sena have been taken into custody. The incident occurred allegedly in the presence of police which led to allegations that cops were supporting the moral goons.
It was on November 2, 2014 that Kochi held the first 'Kiss of Love' to protest an incident of moral policing in Kozhikode. People were urged to hug and kiss each other in public to denounce advocates of moral policing.
The stir caught national attention and was held at several places across the nation since then.
