Kollam: Pained over not getting salary from Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), a bus conductor tried self-immolation on Wednesday.
Vinod (33), a native of Kottankara near Kundara, poured a bottle of petrol and attempted self immolation, but his colleagues foiled the bid.
Vinod is a conductor at the Kottarakkara depot of KSRTC.

KSRTC bus services were disrupted across the state Wednesday after its staff failed to get their salaries.
However, in an effort to end the crisis, State Bank of Travancore (SBT) allotted Rs 70 crore as loan to the transport corporation Wednesday evening, as per reports.
