Moovatupuzha: A special court here has rejected a petition seeking a probe against Kerala vigilance director Jacob Thomas for allegedly causing a loss of Rs 15 crore to the state exchequer when he was the ports director.

However, the court said that there was not enough evidence to support the charges against the top cop.

Kerala chief secretary S.M. Vijayanand had in a report to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan recommended a probe against Thomas for the alleged financial irregularities. The chief minister had sought legal advice for holding probe against the vigilance director.
