CBSE Class 10 results out, 13 including Kerala girl share first rank, TVPM on top

New Delhi: With a pass percentage of 92.45 in the Class 10 CBSE results, which were announced on Monday, girls outperformed boys by a margin of 2.31 per cent.

Thirteen students, including a Keralite girl, bagged the first rank with 499 out of 500 marks. The second and third rank were shared by 24 and 58 students, respectively.

The Keralite girl who won first rank is Bhavana N Sivadas of Lions' School, Koppam, Palakkad. A total of 2.25 lakh students scored above 90 per cent and 57,256 scored above 95 per cent.

Nine students from Kerala are among the 97 who won the first three ranks. They are:

8. Athul Vijay K (St Joseph's English Medium, Angadipuram, Malappuram) - 497
9. Gadha Suresh (Vijayagiri Public School, Chalakudy, Thrissur) - 497

The Trivandrum region performed the best with a pass percentage of 99.85, followed by Chennai and Ajmer with 99 and 95.89 respectively.
Delhi ranked second last with a pass percentage of 80.97 and Guwahati was last with 74.49.

Last week, the results for Class 12 exam were announced way ahead of the schedule. The CBSE was also ahead of the ICSE board which is the first to announce the results every year.

CBSE will release the marks sheets and other certificates in DigiLocker account set up by CBSE for students. In a first, the board announced the class 12 results for all the 10 regions within 28 days of the last date of the examination. Usually, the results are announced by third week of May.

According to the board officials, the results were announced earlier to ensure that they are available before undergraduate admission process begins in universities to avoid any hassle to students.
