At a time when cow and cattle are dominating the national discourse, can Baba Ramdev wait on desolate pastures. Not one to be cowed down by criticism, he has launched a floor cleaner by the name Gonyle under the Patanjali brand.
The highlight of Gonyle is that it is 'made from holy Cow urine.' Ramdev's 'motive' is 'to free our motherland from cow slaughter.' Social media was quick to pick on the announcement and Twitter was awash with many jokes. One said, "If cow urine falls in my house, is it fine to clean it using Gonyle."
The product was launched during the recent Makar Sankarati and an ad with the holy intentions found a place in newspapers that said: 'Join the movement to save the cow, our holy mother.'
