New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched down in Lahore to wish Pakistan's PM Nawaz Sharif on Friday afternoon in a surprise move that sent diplomats, mediapersons and opposition leaders into a tizzy.
The unprecedented move by an Indian Prime Minister, especially considering the fraught relations with the neighbouring country, has suddenly grabbed the attention of the people, most of whom were engaged in Christmas celebrations on Friday.
While some lauded the diplomatic nature of Modi's visit, a few questioned whether this was yet another headline-grabbing stint.
