Gurdaspur, Punjab: A minor girl was allegedly raped by a Class X student at Dida Sansian village under Dina Nagar police station in the district Sunday, police said.
According to the complaint filed by the victim's father, his 5-year-old daughter was coming back home from a shop with her younger brother when their neighbor forcibly took her into his house and raped her.
The accused managed to escape when the minor became unconscious, police said.
The victim was admitted to a community health center here and later handed over to her family.
Police have registered a case against the youth under section 376 (rape) of IPC.
