New Delhi: It's not every day that the prime minister takes one of his stoles and gives it to someone as a gift. But that's how Modi gave a surprise to Shilpi Tewari, writer and activist, when she asked for a peacock blue 'Shiva stole' he wore during the unveiling of the 112-ft tall statue of Lord Shiva in Coimbatore.

The stole that Modi wore on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri caught Tewari's eyes and she tweeted to Modi seeking it.

“I want that stole of @narendramodi!!,” Tewari tweeted with a picture of Modi performing the aarti.

Much to her surprise, Tewari received the stole and a printout of her tweet signed by Narendra Modi in 21 hours. She shared a series of tweets expressing her happiness and excitement.

“PM @narendramodi sent me this blessing because I had tweeted yesterday that I want this stole. Am I dreaming??”, she tweeted.

Our ministers reaching out to the citizens using social media is nothing new to us, but Twitterati appreciated Narendra Modi's positive gesture.
