Three of a Kerala family die in US car crash

Kothamangalam: Three members of a Kerala family died in a car accident in South Florida, United States. The deceased have been identified as Kakkathottathil Bobby Mathew (46), his wife Dolly (42) and their younger son Steve (14). Their elder son Austin was back home during the accident.

The accident occurred when their car skidded off the road into a lake around 6.30pm (local time) while they were on their way to Fort Lauderdale Airport.

Bobby was an IT engineer in Dallas. He was the son of K P Mathai, former head of zoology department in Kothamangalam MA College, and Sarakkutty. Dolly's family is based in Pune.

Brothers: Babu (Chicago) and Beeba (Dallas). The extended family is settled in US. Bobby and family had visited home in Kerala three years ago.
