Krishnagiri (Wayanad): The Kerala Cricket Association-IDBI Federal Life Insurance Bowling Foundation to nurture young bowlers was inaugurated by legendary Australian pacer Jeff Thomson at the Krishnagiri Stadium here Thursday.
Thomson, who is the head coach of the Foundation, inaugurated the program by bowling to Wayanad SP K Karthick.

Thomson was all praise for the ground and the facilities at the Krishnagiri Stadium. “The ground is beautiful and the pitch is one of the best in India,” he said.
KCA president and BCCI vice-president T. C. Mathew, KCA secretary T. N. Ananthanarayan, Makarand Waingankar, director of Excellence in Cricket, former Indian players Ramesh Powar and Tinu Yohannan too were present on the occasion.
Thomson will be assisted by Tinu and Powar in his efforts to groom the young bowlers. He will train the youngsters till September 16 before returning to Australia.
An open selection trials will be held next May to find raw talent.
