Air India, which operates 72 weekly flights from various cities to Dubai, and IndiGo cancelled their services on Wednesday.
Major Middle East airlines, including Emirates Airlines, Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways, said on Sunday they would resume operation in the region after cancelling or rerouting some flights.
The carrier on Monday announced reducing operations due to non-availability of crew and other operational reasons.
The airline apologised for the disruptions but did not provide details on the number of flight cancellations.
The directive was issued on February 16 to seven airlines -- Air India, IndiGo, Akasa Air, SpiceJet, Vistara, AIX Connect and Air India Express.
The facility is being implemented based on an intermodal agreement signed by Air India with its International Air Transport Association travel partner AccesRail.
The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday sometime before the Vistara flight was scheduled to land at the Mumbai International Airport.
