Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have taken off with baby Taimur for a vacation to Gstaad, Switzerland. 

In a recent interview, Kareena had revealed the couple's plan for the vacation. She said that she had been mesmerized by the beauty and tranquility of the snow-capped town of Gstaad during their first international holiday with Saif.

She had made Saif promise that they would return to this beautiful place every year, a custom they have not broken so far.

A sports paradise

During this time of the year, it is cold in Gstaad. You can go tobogganing, snow biking, and ice climbing during this time. During summer, you can go hiking, cycle or swimming in the lakes.

Go shopping

Designer labels including Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chopard, Brunello Cucinelli, Prada, Moncler, Ralph Lauren, and Cartier all have stores in Gstaad. And Kareena Kapoor had made it clear before she left that she prefers traveling in luxury.

Go for a stroll

Gstaad speaks of Swiss architecture - wooden shutters, colorful doors, and family run shops tucked between designer shops. These are best for cheese and wine and be sure to pack some sweets or truffles as souvenirs. 

Reaching Gstaad

There are frequent flights from Mumbai to Bern via Paris and Amsterdam. Gstaad is approximately 84 km from Bern.
