Kodikuthimala Hills in Perinthalmanna is popularly known as the Ooty of Malappuram. It is also the highest peak in the district. The idyllic setting of this hilly area is truly fascinating. Everflowing springs, waterfalls, watch tower and suicide point are the main attractions here. It was almost two decades back that Kodikuthimala started featuring in the tourism map of Kerala. Around 70 acres of land of this area is earmarked by the Tourism Department for various projects. Kodikuthymala, at an altitude of 2,000 feet above sea level, has a watch tower which is thronged by all tourists visiting this serene place. On reaching the top of Kodikuthymala one is bound to be amazed by the sheer beauty of the area.
