Travelling as a couple is certain to be an enjoyable affair. Thara Nandikkara (30) of Karuvarakundu in Malappuram district of Kerala and her husband Goutham Rajan (31) have proved this time again by visiting 20 countries and 22 states in India since 2014.

Six years ago, the couple started touring the world. They planned budget trips and have titled their adventures 'Clueless Compass.'

Thara and Goutham's journeys have earned them recognition too. The couple won the 'Explorer best Indian travel couple' award in 2018 for their trip covering the less-travelled destinations in Iran, Kenya, Germany, Spain, China, and Turkey.

All the journeys are planned by the couple on a shoestring budget with the help of the internet. Moreover, in each country they visit, Thara and Goutham spend not more than 15 days. Small villages as well as the big cities are part of the couple's itinerary.

Thara, a postgraduate in journalism, is the daughter of the late Sivadasan and Vasanthi Nandikkara while Goutham is an engineer in a motor company in Bengaluru and is also an avid photographer and blogger. The couple's wedding took place in 2014 and they are now based in Bengaluru.

Thara and Goutham have a YouTube channel named Clueless Compass as well as a blog and social media page.

The last trip of the couple was to Kenya from where they had returned in January this year. Their next destination is Japan and the journey would take place as soon as the COVID-19 crisis eases.
