Shekhawati Festival, February 9 to 12 

Historic havelis and stunning frescoes are a sight to watch any time of the year. But then, when you get a chance to catch up with the masters and experts in the respective regions, don't you think it adds to the charm? If you are looking for a reason to head to Rajasthan, Shekhawati festival is a valid reason.

World Sacred Spirit Festival, February 13-15 and 17-19

If you love music, travel from Shekhawati to Nagaur for this festival, which will see famous people from across the world joining in. Transport yourself to a different world when Amjad Ali Khan along with Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, Epi from Mongolia, Lingling Yu from China, Parvathy Baul and Mehdi Nassouli perform. They festival will be on in Nagaur from February 13- 15 and then move to Jodhpur where it will be held from February 17-19.

Khajuraho Dance festival, February 20-26

The temples of Khajuraho needs no introduction. It is alluring. And during the annual dance festival, this place will be light up brightly. The best artists from across the country for various dances like Kathak, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Odissi will perform at the stage near the temple.

Mahashivaratri, February 24

Shivrathri is celebrated across the country and the observances change from one end of the country to the other. The festival takes on a very spectacular religious hue at Varanasi with a special procession being taken out for the 'wedding of the lord'. And Puri is another place you should not miss.
