IRCTC partners with KTDC to promote domestic tourism

New Delhi: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has joined hands with Kerala Tourism Corporation Ltd (KTDC), which operates hotels and restaurants across the southern state and other places, to promote domestic tourism.

IRCTC in a statement said that it has launched a bouquet of tour package with KTDC within Kerala starting from Rs 5,030. It said that these packages are aimed to encourage domestic tourism within the state.

"The packages exclusively use the luxurious properties of KTDC at all exotic locations to explore the greenery, serene beaches, backwaters and other natural beauties of Kerala at a very pocket-friendly price," it said.

It said that these packages will be using a fully sanitised vehicles for the tours specially designed to make the tourists feel completely at ease while enjoying the natural gifts of Kerala such as the marvellous tea plantations in Munnar, the exotic wildlife in Thekkady, splendid backwaters in Kumarakom and Alappuzha and the mesmerising beaches of Kovalam.

The packages of varying durations from 2 to 5 nights are attractively priced starting from Rs 5,030. The IRCTC will also provide an accidental insurance cover to every tourist availing the package worth Rs 10 lakh.
