The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced exclusive tourism packages for women in connection with the Women’s Day observations on March 8.
The trips, arranged by the Budget Tourism Cell of the KSRTC, would be available from March 8 to 13, during which the public carrier is celebrating the ‘Women’s travel week’.
The women’s tours would start from Kottayam depot of the KSRTC and the first trip is to Wonderla water theme park in Kochi. The fare is Rs 900 per person which includes the entry fees to the park. Women’s organisations and groups can take part. While the bus would leave from Kottayam at 8am, the arrival time at the same place during the return trip is 8pm. Bookings too have started for the tour.
Other trips
Apart from the exclusive trips for them, women travellers can also choose other packages of the KSRTC from Kottayam to the high ranges. These tours cover picturesque hill areas, beautiful rivers and stunning waterfalls at Vagamon, Parunthumpara and Malakkappara.
The budget tourism cell of the KSRTC conducts similar trips from other depots also. Most of these schedules receive full bookings most of the time.
