Vampire facial aka platelet-rich plasma therapy uses a person's blood to rejuvenate skin.
The blood drawn from a person's arm is injected back into their face through micro-needling, after isolating platelets.
It became popular after Kim Kardashian posted a photo of her undergoing the procedure, in 2013.
Recently, it was reported that at least three women were likely infected with HIV, after the procedure at a spa in New Mexico in 2018.
Experts say vampire facials are beneficial and safe when done by qualified healthcare professionals.
That said, it can have side effects like pain, swelling, bruising, allergic reactions, redness and skin sensitivity.
