Are you struggling to sleep at night? Yoga has a variety of beginner-friendly moves that can help you relax better and improve your sleep quality. Here are a few of them.
Practice this legs-up-the-wall pose regularly before bedtime. All you need is a clear wall and a space to lie back. Swing your legs up onto the wall, lying back, spreading your arms by your side or on your abdomen. Close your eyes and breathe in a slow, relaxing rhythm. Try it for 10 minutes.
Kneel on your mat touching your big toes together. Sit on your heels, stretch your hands forward and lower your forehead to the ground. Breathe comfortably and hold the pose for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Lie flat on your back closing your eyes. Make sure arms and legs are spread, and relaxed. You can try focusing on your most stressed body part, and try loosening it up. Breathe comfortably, stay in the posture for 10 minutes.
Sit cross-legged on the floor or in any comfortable position with your spine erect. Inhale deeply and slowly into your belly, filling it with air. Exhale slowly through the nose. You can repeat it for several cycles, as per your comfort.
