Kumarakom's women-friendly spaces

In January, Kerala introduced a 'Women-friendly Tourism' project in Kumarakom. It aims to provide safe, hygienic places and all-women tour packages. Women travelers can enjoy boat rides, nature walks, Ayurvedic treatments and the like, here. Many resorts here enjoy great reviews from women travellers.

Kovalam, a 'She' destination

Kerala government recently announced its plan to develop 'She' destinations or women-friendly tourist spots and its pilot project is to be launched here. Kovalam is known for its blue waters, Ayurvedic treatment options, safe water sports avenues and more for women.

The sanitary napkin-free Kumbalangi

Kumbalangi is India's first sanitary napkin-free village. After the release of the 2019 movie 'Kumbalangi Nights,' many have been visiting this island village, which is rated safe by many solo women travellers on popular platforms. This is also a great time to experience Kumbalangi's 'Kavaru,' a blue glow on its waters due to a high concentration of micro-plankton.
