Why is Kerala's Eravikulam India's top national park?

It won the top spot with Kashmir's Dachigam National Park.

The ranking was published by the Union Ministry's Management Effectiveness Evaluation for 2020-25.

Kerala was also rated the top in managing national parks.

Eravikulam is home to around 800 Nilgiri Tahr mountain goats.

It's also known for its Neelakurinji blooms and as the home of South India's tallest peak, Anaimudi.
