Kerala's most popular hill station is now under 24-hour shadow police surveillance.
Five policemen have been appointed as part of the team.
They will patrol various tourist spots in the hill station to ensure enough safety for tourists.
The team was instituted after a few incidents in which tourists came under attack recently.
The licence of taxi drivers who misbehave with tourists will be suspended.
Tourist guides will also face dismissal if they mistreat tourists.
