The new Vande Bharat service has carried more than 1 lakh passengers in its first 22 days.
The airfares between the two cities range from ₹9,000 to ₹15,000. But the Vande Bharat ticket is just ₹730.
The train covers the distance in a little over four-and-a-half hours.
This Vande Bharat has 'all-weather connectivity' through specially engineered heating mechanisms.
The train has 20 coaches, with AC and Executive Chair Cars.
The two pairs of trains operating on the route are 26401/26402 (all days except Tuesdays) and 26404/26403 (all days except Wednesdays)
IRCTC has also introduced a special vegetarian Kashmiri menu on the route.
