The new Kerala government has launched the 'Priyadarshini Project' that offers free rides on KSRTC buses.
The free ride is for all women and transgender people.
They don't have to carry any special documents for it.
There is no distance limit for the ride.
Ordinary, City Ordinary, Limited Stop Ordinary, Town to Town, Fair Stage Limited Stop and Gramavandi buses offer free rides.
Free buses will have stickers related to the Priyadarshini Project on both doors and the front glass.
Women and transgender passengers will receive 'zero' tickets for the commute.
Boys of ages 5 to 11, accompanying women, should take half-tickets.
Women travelling for free are allowed up to 15 kg of luggage.
